Cyprus was ranked 64th with regard to the ease of doing business

According to the recently published The Doing Business Report, which is annually elaborated by the World Bank Group, Cyprus was ranked 64th on the ease of doing business out of 189 countries that were compared in the ranking. The original report can be found on the website of The Doing Business Org.

This report evaluates the ease of doing business in 189 countries and I it is based on 11 indicators. Among these are the establishment of the company, the ease of getting a bank loan, electrification, payment of taxes and resolving insolvency.

Regarding the procedure of obtaining a construction permit, Cyprus is ranked 148; starting a business in Cyprus was ranked at 64; for the protection of minority investors Cyprus got 14th place; for the registration of property Cyprus got ranked at 112; with regard to obtaining a loan it ranked 61and in terms of resolving insolvency at 51.

Nevertheless, it is important to mention that for its quality of life, adaptation and security level – Cyprus is a  traditional leader among other countries.
