The number of registered unemployed persons in Cyprus decreased

The number of registered unemployed persons in Cyprus decreased in March.
According of the Statistical Service the unemployed persons registered in the District Labor Offices, decreased to 44.736 from 45.423 in the prior month.
Compared to the same period of the previous year, unemployed persons dropped by 9.4 percent, or 4.939 in March. The decline in unemployment was mainly observed in the construction sector, where the number decreased by 1.301 people.
