It's Time to Buy!

The sales director of BuySell Cyprus, Chris Hajikyriacou, has recently pointed out that - “Now is the time to buy, otherwise you’re going to miss the boat”. His forecast about the market’s prospects seems to be very optimistic and most importantly encouraging for the potential investors. He told the Mail that demand for property in Cyprus is about to outstrip its supply! In the first quarter of 2014, BuySell Cyprus has noticed a 600 per cent sales raise compared to the last year’s records. According to Hajikyriacou the most active property buyers are Russians, Britons, investors from the Middle East and Scandinavia. The essentials that support such booming stream toward property sales in Cyprus are government’s citizenship-for-investment scheme and the significant progress that Cyprus has reached with its bailout program.

At the moment, Cyprus has the most beneficial citizenship-for-investment program.  In order to obtain a Cypriot citizenship the investors are required to invest a minimum of €2.5 million, which is exceptionally low, when compared to other European countries.

With regards to the financial state of the island, the chief of the European Central Bank has acknowledged that Cyprus has managed to boost up its economy significantly due to its well structured bailout program. Now, the European Central Bank is ready to cooperate with the Cyprus Central Bank in order to regulate the financial sector fully!
