The discovery of hydrocarbons can stimulate Cyprus and Lebanon reach stability

Cyprus and Lebanon believe that the discovery of hydrocarbons reserves in the Eastern Mediterranean can encourage both countries to take steps toward stability and cooperation in the region.

This Wednesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Ioannis Kasoulides and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon Gebran Bassil held a meeting in Nicosia, during which the Ministers decided to cooperate in the energy sector and strengthen their relations in areas as search and rescue, liberalization of flights, tourism and in the field of defence.
