Science Cafe to open soon in Nicosia

The Nicosia Science Cafe will be ready after Easter according to a spokesperson following the support of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Communications and Works, and the Nicosia Municipality.

It will be located behind the House of Representatives on Kinyras Street.

The Science Cafe will not be another average cafe, serving coffee to the masses, but rather a location for people to meet and inform themselves on European Union programmes and the developments happening in science.

Its main purpose will be to better communications in science and technology among students, schools, research institutes, industry and civil society. The café will act to inform on research and studies being done on the environment, health and security.

The cafe will decorated in a style that keeps science in mind and will offer an appropriate leisure experience to its visitors. There will be a focus on the psychology of the visitors and on informing them in an accurate way by offering them a chance to participate in games to help handle a variety of emotions.
