According to the recently published TheDoing Business Report, which is annually elaborated by the World Bank Group,Cyprus was ranked 64th on the ease of doing business out of 189 countries thatwere compared in the ranking. The original report can be found on the websiteof The Doing Business Org.
This report evaluates the ease of doingbusiness in 189 countries and I it is based on 11 indicators. Among these arethe establishment of the company, the ease of getting a bank loan,electrification, payment of taxes and resolving insolvency.
Regarding the procedure of obtaining aconstruction permit, Cyprus is ranked 148; starting a business in Cyprus wasranked at 64; for the protection of minority investors Cyprus got 14th place;for the registration of property Cyprus got ranked at 112; with regard toobtaining a loan it ranked 61and in terms of resolving insolvency at 51.
Nevertheless, it is important to mentionthat for its quality of life, adaptation and security level – Cyprus is a traditional leader among other countries.
