The association of banks has reached an agreement with unions that the new working hours would apply as of August 10, it was announced on Wednesday.
The agreement reached on Wednesday provides that from Monday, August 10, banks will remand open to the public from 8am to 2.30pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 8am to 2pm on Fridays.
Working hours for bank staff will be 7.30am to 3pm from Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 2.30pm on Fridays.The agreement will be valid until December 31, 2016.Current opening hours are: May to September Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 1.30pm. Rest of the year: Monday: 8.30am to 1.30pm and 3.15pm to 4.45pm; Tuesday to Friday: 8.30 to 1.30pm.
