The first major deal of 2023 has been completed in the Cyprus real estate sector. The territory and buildings of the former SODAP winery in the western part of Limassol have become the property of the international consortium. According to Insider, the new owner intends to create a block of office buildings that will house companies in the field of IT, research, and innovation.Several buildings are located on the territory of the former SODAP plant. Some of them have an area of 7,500 sq . m . meters and are included in the list of buildings of industrial heritage of the Republic of Cyprus. They are not subject to demolition. They can only be restored.
In 1947, one of the buildings housed the headquarters of the SODAP company, which specialized in the production of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.An international consortium bought a plot of land for 32.5 million euros. It is located between the Limassol Marina and the New Port. The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry called it the "golden mile". Limassol authorities would like to have offices of banks, financial funds, Forex companies, etc. concentrated in this area.
