It is much anticipated that the Russians will continue to purchase property in Cyprus. The island attracts them with a favourable climate, excellent opportunities for business, tax and loan system, low crime level and numerous other factors. The most attractive location for the Russian market is obviously Limassol due to the majority of Russian schools operating in the area and also due to the excellent infrastructure present. Christos Panagia, the managing director of Pandomus Property Developers, concludes that the Russian community in Limassol has already reached 30 thousand people and the number will only increase every year.

Cyprus and Qatar signed a contract to build a multimillion-dollar luxurious project, which will include a hotel, business and residential complex with facilities worth $ 150 million in the downtown of the capital of Cyprus, Nicosia. In June 2011, the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and his son will pay a visit to the capital of Cyprus, to supervise the construction process personally. The last offer from Qatar features the following prices per square meter in the new complex: 3500 euros for apartments, 4000 Euros for offices and stores for 5000 Euros. Any additional funds will go to the treasury of Cyprus. Nevertheless, the influx of large financial investments from Qatar, will positively reflect on the island's economy.
