The Government said that casino licences should be ready in spring 2015.
“We have completed the policy document and legislation is being prepared at this moment to be submitted to parliament by the end of May,” Tourism Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis said.
Cyprus Tourism Organization’s research has revealed that casino opening will give new employment opportunities and increase the annual revenues from €35 to €50 million.
The single licence will create a resort and two branches in several Cyprus districts or on-line casino in two other districts.
