Upon of signing a contract for long term lease in Cyprus you have to pay the equivalent of two months’ rent. The first amount is to cover the event of any possible damages and the second is for the last month. You will only lose the last months payment if you cancel a rental agreement before the 12 month contact ends. These are typical conditions contract for long-term lease which can be changed in agreement between Landlord and Tenant.

Tenants  will need to make deposits for electricity (300 euro) and for water (250 euro) on their new accounts with the Electricity Authority of Cyprus  and the Water Board.
